Dreams

Our dreams are at times insight to our desires, fears and to our souls. Sometimes we can see in dreams what we refuse to see in our "awakened" states. Our spirituality, our relationship with others, and with God can be brought to focus in our dreams. We just have to take the time to "open our ears" and hear what is being said to us in our dreams.   

Not every dream carries a life changing message from God or from our inner selves. They don't all tell us where the lost things are, nor do they all offer guidance and direction. Still, we should be open to discern those dreams that are truly insights and those that are our slumbering mind's entertainment. 

Dream symbols and dream dictionaries can offer assistance to understanding your dreams, but mostly you will have to find the meaning in your own dreams. You will have some symbols that are specifically relevant to you. You will have to reflect on your own life events, and feelings. In trying to understand your dreams, you will come to a better knowledge of yourself and your relationships with others and with God. 

Does it do us any good to dream or understand our dreams if we are not motivated to change that in need of change?  What profit is it to us or those around us if we remain in the darkness of night without a dream of something better than we are?
