Where are you today?

I reach out to touch you, so close

Yet you are so far away.

The distance so great

With you on the other side;

This ocean

Of tears we have cried.

King of kingdoms in my heart

My heart sinks so very low.

Where are you now?

Where did you go?

Prince of my soul

Where are the moments in time?

Where is our throne now

That your hand is no longer in mine?

I watch you rule your world alone

As I’m held prisoner

In this dungeon

Of happily ever after.

But too much is missing here.

And things are not what they may seem.

I have little to hold,

Except you in my dreams.
